Confessions of a Career Girl: Episode 5

Other than the usual struggles of a buppie-- my occasional clashes with the sandman when he tries to hold me down and let the sun rise before me (Tuesday, I woke up at 7:20 am! Needless to say I freaked out, called a cab, threw on some clothes & arrived to work at 8am on the DOT.. scary!) & an ignorant coworker comment here & there-- work life is pretty basic.

Monday was Columbus Day. One of the awesome things about working at a bank? Bank Holidays! ::Does Cabbage Patch::

I do have an interesting update, however... :

On Monday night I went on a date.

With a coworker!

Before you lecture me about work-life balance and conflict of interest and the like, I will simply say that while I absolutely will not under any circumstances reveal the identity of this mystery man, I will specify that he does not work in the same department as me and he is simply a far removed member of the 26,000+ person workforce.

He makes me laugh, and there is something about him, but I can't quite put my finger on it...

In other news, I was sick on Tuesday night and slept not at all... thus I felt like crapola alll day today and I left work early :-\

The Career Girl's getting a little knackered...

Update: Coworker Boy ("CB") came over and brought me chicken noodle soup, orange juice, nyquil, & ordered me to bed. He said he was just passing by on his way to have takeout & watch the debate with his friends. Sweet and non-intrusive?? I like him already...
